Feb 21, 2020 · Upgrade to WiFi Calling Using T-Mobile as a carrier. Since the update to 13.4 Beta 2 I am unable to upgrade to WiFi calling on my other apple devices. Note that WiFi calling when iPhone is nearby works however when the iPhone is NOT nearby does not work. Cannot enable the Upgrade to WiFi Calling I'm using T-Mobile. No coverage in my home so I use calling over WiFi. The only issue I have now is that sometimes I have to toggle iPhone airport mode to get it to connect when I first arrive home. No idea if that is an Eero issue (probably not) or T-Mobile or the various iOS betas I'm running. It seems they only support WiFi calling on one or two model phones that they sell that use the T-Mobile network. To be fair though, Straight Talk may not be the issue here. It don’t think Verizon nor AT&T give any of the prepaid wireless companies that use their network the option to use WiFi calling or other advanced features. iPhone 5C does not support VoLTE. If you are on wifi calling and leave wifi, your call would drop on the 5C, whereas with 6 or later it will switch seamlessly to VoLTE and keep the calling going if the phone has usable LTE signal. For that reason I doubt Verizon will ever turn on wifi calling for the 5c or 5s
